Emspark Yacht I Haren - Yachtcharter Nordwest ( 4 km from Oldenburg ) 3 July

We would like to get to Oldenburg where we will leave Lellebelle while we fly to Sweden for a few days. Three locks could take no time at all or 4 hours, depending on if we have to wait or not.

Left the Emspark Marina just after 7.30.

Passed the entrance to the Haren-Rütenbrock canal, leading to Holland.

Beautiful morning, rain only predicted later today.

Leslie at work, Sunday morning, 8.30, all ready in working outfit to take on yet another lock. That would be lock about number 999? Or maybe 357.

The lock into Oldenburg closes at 12.00 on Sundays, so we are heading for the Marina Yachtcharter Nordwest about 4 km from Oldenburg. Turns out it only has place for two boats, so we are hanging on to one of the boats. But we have bathrooms and electricity.

Today we have had a few hours of beautiful sunshine, followed by about an hour of downpour, repeated three times!
