Yachtcharter Nordwest - Oldenburg 4 July

The lock into Oldenburg is only 2-3 km away so we took it easy this morning, but it took nearly two hours to get through! First we had to wait for a barge and then when it was our turn nothing happened because the lock master, who operates the lock from Bremen had " vergessen" us.

Just because Carl thinks it's fun to make me nervous he said "what if the owner of the boat we are tied to comes to the boat in the middle of the night, a bit drunk, and sails away, with us hanging on the side " . But not even I bought that story. He is going to have to think of better stories to scare me!

Found a great marina in the centre of Oldenburg where Lellebelle can rest for a few days. Neighbours have a giant poodle, Bolle, guarding the jetty.
