We return to the Alfred Nobel park
which lies close to the Nobel villa.
It is a lovely park with palm trees, fountains and pergolas and several places for taking a rest.
While remebering the Nobel history it was news to us that one of the first major building project that was completed thanks to the invention of the Nobel dynamite was the Korint canal. Another big project at that time was the St Goddard tunnel. And not to forget the taming af the difficult waterfall at Bingen in the Rhein. Dynamite for the good of better communication.
We explore inner city of San Remo. First the casino to get some cash. Look at the lucky winner.
Then up the hill to a recommended viewpoint. Lucky as we are we find the old donkey path up the medieval part of the town.
In a window woman with her grand daughter are cheering us on as we struggle up the steep path.
At the top we are rewarded with a fantastic view
and the Panorama Cafe which offered well deserved refreshment.
