Sanremo to Bordighera 11 August

Next stop 1 hour away, Bordighera. Recommended by Carin and Sven.
We are so happy that we stopped over in Bordighera. If Carin and Sven had not recommended it we would probably have passed by. This is our last stop in Italy, and possibly the best!
The hotel Piccolo Lido.  We must stay next time we are here. And there will be a next time!
Looks like rock rabbits but this is how the holiday makers sunbathe and swim here. They were sitting on the rocks until the very last rays of the sun disappeared. The rocks -a polished sandstone- are perfect for this type of sunbathing.
The perfect little harbour.
There is an old town up in the hill with a city wall which is apparently the only complete city wall left in Italy.  This is not the city wall. It took a long hot walk to find it. But we were rewarded with some live music.
A long promenade with beaches and hotels and France in the distance.
Went up to the old town after dinner and found a most amazing medieval town tucked inside and on top of the old city walls. So many eating and drinking places it would take a months to get to know them all.
Lido Piccolo hotel seen from the sea side.
More beach fronts in Bordighera.
