THIS BLOG has landed in the wrong place, should be 6 April.
On the way from Nimes we pass this billboard advertising Carl and Leslie's birthdays! Carl's birthday 26 March, Leslie's birthday 16 May. How did they know?
On return to Port Napoleon we met a couple, Graham and Kate from Scotland. They have checked the wind and waves and have decided to sail to Port St Louis rightaway. So suddenly there is a change of plans. Now we are also going to sail to Port St Louis rightaway and that means we can go through the lock at 6.20! Leslie is not so fond of changes in plans but this journey has to start sometime.
So it's goodbye to Port Napoleon. This has been a good place to stay, except for the long walk into town every day.
Leaving the canal leading from Port Napoleon into the Golf of Fos. This is a windy, choppy stretch of sea which Leslie has been thinking about for the last 6 months. Tried to get a photo of all the flamingos on the way, but they were not so keen.
But here we are, heading into Port Louis! Goodbye Mediterranean, goodbye sea for the last time! or if it was Carl he would say goodbye sea until next time!
At Port St Louis we met up with Kate and Graham, Martin and wife. Celebratory beer and wine before preparing for the early morning lock opening.
