Pilgrim time is getting closer and there is no getting out of it. Left Toulouse after 9 this morning for a nearly 4 hour drive to St Jean Pied de Port. And what a wonderful surprise, a quaint little town, full of eager pilgrims!

Keeping a close watch on the clouds. Don't want rain tomorrow.
All preparations on track. Have bought all necessary equipment, pilgrims staff and rain cape. Only Leslie has a wooden staff, the others have ultra modern aluminium staffs with inbuilt springs. Had a fantastic pilgrims dinner and in bed by 21.30!
