A boat with 3 Swedish gentlemen had arrived. They are also on their way back to Sweden. Their boat has been in Greece for a few years. And they know Kurt and Ann-Britt, who we met in Port Napoleon!
We might leave tomorrow so we have to make the most of our time. Lyon is known for excellent cuisine so we walked to the Bascillica in the Fourviere district and sampled the food. With a fantastic view of the city. Carl tried the andouilette, which he insists was delicious. Andouilette is course grannen sausage made of pork, intestines, wine and pepper. Eaten with mustard. Not my cup of tea!
And this is the view.
Part of the complex around the bacillica.
If you want to eat typical Lyonsise food you have to go to a Bouchon. Unfotnately I don't think we have any place left for more food.
Another view of the bacillica looking up from ground level.
And a view right next to it. Have unfortunately not done research so know nothing about this Bascillica.

Antoine de Saont-Exupery, author of The Litte Prince, Le Petit Prince, comes from Lyon.
The brothers Lumiere, August and Louis, invented the Cinematographe in 1895. This was a device combing camera, printer and Projecter. August and Louis were born, lived and worked in Lyon.
There is so much more to see, do and eat in Lyon. Next time!
